Why Ghana suits Korean used cars
Ghana drives on the right and permits only left-hand-drive (LHD) vehicles for import — right-hand-drive vehicles are prohibited without special ministerial authorization. Every Korean used car is LHD, so the fit is exact. Ghana is one of West Africa's largest used-car markets, importing well over 100,000 vehicles a year, and Hyundai and Kia enjoy strong recognition there.
The key rule: 10 years from manufacture
Ghana applies an overage penalty to vehicles more than 10 years old, counted from the year of manufacture (not the registration date). The penalty is added on top of normal duties, and for passenger cars is commonly reported as: no penalty within 10 years / around 5% of CIF at 10–12 years / around 20% at 12–15 years / around 50% beyond 15 years. For this reason, vehicles within 10 years of manufacture are the economical choice for Ghana, and that is what we recommend. Shipping from Korea
RoRo (car carrier) service from Korea is available to Ghana. However, sailings are not regularly scheduled and rates vary — contact us and we will check the current schedule and rate for you. Container shipping is also available; container freight works on the basis of two or more vehicles per container, and for single-unit orders we check the available options and costs at the time of inquiry.
We have shipped to Tema, Ghana's main port — based on our shipments, the journey takes about 40 to 60 days. Takoradi is also used for Ghana-bound cargo.

When we ship, we courier the original B/L, the Korean Export Declaration, and our inspection sheet. Before payment you receive the Performance Record plus photos and video, and we report every step in real time.
